In the rain-slicked streets of a city haunted by memory, aging ex-soldier Theo finds his only solace in weekly meetings with Olga, a sharp-witted prostitute who offers fleeting comfort from his ghosts. Their fragile refuge shatters when Olga is brutally murdered, awakening a storm of vengeance Theo thought he’d left on the battlefield. Driven by a soldier’s code and haunted by loss, Theo plunges into the city’s criminal underbelly, leaving a trail of blood and broken men in his wake. His ruthless quest for justice ignites a deadly chain reaction, drawing the attention of two formidable figures: Iborra, an alcoholic cop wrestling with his own demons, and Herodes, a chillingly efficient hitman whose path is destined to collide with Theo’s. This gritty, character-driven thriller masterfully weaves a tale of revenge, redemption, and the shadows of the past. As allegiances shift and bullets fly, Theo must confront how far he’s willing to go for a woman who showed him a glimpse of light—and whether any soul can emerge unscathed from the darkness of vengeance.

Story

In the rain-slicked, shadow-drenched streets of a city that has forgotten its heroes, THEO, an aging ex-soldier, clings to one solitary ritual that gives his life meaning. Every week, he visits OLGA, a sharp and compassionate prostitute. Their meetings are not transactional; they are a sanctuary. In her modest apartment, surrounded by the ghosts of his past, Theo recounts stories of his time in the military—tales of camaraderie, loss, and a life of purpose now long gone. Olga is more than a companion; she is his confessor, the sole anchor to a world that makes sense. This fragile peace is shattered when Olga is brutally murdered. The crime is swift, senseless, and anonymous, intended to be just another statistic in the city's underbelly. But for Theo, it is a declaration of war. The disciplined soldier, long suppressed beneath a veneer of civilian life, reawakens with a cold, terrifying fury. He is not seeking justice from a system he no longer trusts; he is seeking vengeance. Donning his old military gear and tapping into a skillset he hoped he had retired, Theo embarks on a bloody crusade, hunting down the men responsible with the brutal efficiency of a trained warrior. His one-man war does not go unnoticed. The escalating body count attracts the attention of two very different men. IBORRA, a world-weary, alcoholic cop, is assigned to the case. He sees the pattern—this isn't random gang violence; it's a systematic, professional purge. Iborra is a man haunted by his own failures, and in Theo's crusade, he sees a dark reflection of his own desire for retribution, forcing him to question where the line between criminal and vigilante truly lies. Simultaneously, the city's criminal hierarchy, unsettled by Theo's disruptive rampage, dispatches HERODES, a chillingly efficient and philosophical hitman. Herodes is a predator who enjoys the hunt as much as the kill. He isn't just tasked with eliminating a problem; he is fascinated by the old soldier's motive and skill, seeing Theo as a worthy adversary in a city of amateurs. As Theo descends deeper into the abyss, leaving a trail of carnage in his wake, he finds himself caught between the dogged pursuit of a cop who understands him too well and the lethal elegance of a hitman who respects him a little too much. "The Gentleman" becomes a tense, character-driven thriller about the cost of obsession, the ghosts of the past, and the violent lengths one man will go to for the only person who made him feel human.
